hello everyone,
not too sure if you guys remember my post back in December, but
i was looking for vietnamese dubbed or english subtitled movies
like return of the condor heroes, chor lau huong, duke of mount
deer, dragon sword and heaven sabre, etc. i have been in contact
with tai seng and there are plans to release a few series that are
vietnamese dubbed on vcd. although they couldn't tell me exactly
what titles these are, i'm happy all the same that i'm not going
to have to watch 5th generation vhs copies from rental stores.
that's the good news. the bad news is that there isn't any plans
for DVD releases yet. you're probably thinking why not? as am i.
couple of reasons might be that the DVD market is only now getting
strong. and mainly in the US. whereas vcd's are playable on most
laserdisc players, dvd players, and computers as well. and last
but not least they can milk you with the vcd's. they put out vcd's,
which you are starving to buy since this has been like 20 years in
waiting, make money off of that, and then release the dvd a couple
years later, and make more money off of that too. well that's
just my opinion. oh and one more thing, for those of you waiting
for anything to come out either english dubbed or subtitled, you
have better chance winning the lottery.
