Ang Lee's Lust, Caution, which opened in the UK on 4th Janurary, picked up 10 nominations in BAFTA Awards longlist, a list of 15 films for each category. Lust, Caution is nominated in Best Film, Best Director (Ang Lee), Best Leading Actress (Tang Wei), Best Cinematographer (Rodrigo Prieto) and other 6 categories. Lust, Caution faces strong competition, not only from British films like Atonement, Control, Sweeney Todd, Hot Fuzz, There Will Be Blood, Elizabeth II: The Golden Age, but also Hollywood films like The Bourne Ultimatum.
Tang Wei was also nominated in Orange Rising Star Award, an award for new comers which will be voted by audiences.
The BAFTA Awards nomination will be announced on 16th Janurary. The Award Ceremony will be held in Royal Opera House early next month.
