15 April 2007, Hong Kong. The 26th Hong Kong Film Awards Ceremony was held in Hong Kong Culture Centre. Veteran director Patrick Tam's After This Our Exile was the biggest winner, being given five awards including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. Sean Lau Ching-Wan won his first Best Actor Award after being nominated eight times, with My Name is Fame, a satire of Hong Kong entertainment industry. Gong Li won Best Actress Award, with Curse of the Golden Flower, continues the trend of actresses from mainland China winning the Best Actress Award in the last three years. Sir Run Run Shaw was hounoured an Achievement in the Film of the Century Award for his contribution to Hong Kong industry.
