The 20th Hong Kong Film Awards

The results of the 20th Hong Kong Film Awards were announced on the ceremony held on Hong Kong Culture Centre on 29th April. Two of the most successful Chinese films last year, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and In the Mood For Love shares the major awards.

Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon won 8 awards, including Best Film and Best Director awards. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was world premiered in Hong Kong. Ang Lee said receiving the awards in Hong Kong was the best ending. Wong Kai-Wai's stylish recount of 60s Hong Kong won the Best Leading Actor (Tony Leung Chui-Wai) and Best Leading Actress (Maggie Cheung) awards. William Cheung won three awards (Best Editing, Best Art Director and Best Production Design) from the same film.
