台灣導演李安的新作《色·戒》在剛剛結束的第64届威尼斯國際電影節上獲得最高獎最佳電影金獅獎。影片攝影師Rodrigo Prieto同时獲得最佳攝影獎。
《色·戒》是李安根據張愛玲的小說改編，由著名演員梁朝偉和新人湯唯主演，讲得是抗戰期間地下黨為清除漢姦“老易”(梁朝偉)而派遣女學生(湯唯)接近他引誘他的故事。影片攝影師 Rodrigo Prieto 曾為李安拍攝獲獎電影《斷背山》。在獲獎儀式上，李安把得到的金獅獎獻給了最近去世的瑞典導演伯格曼(Ingmar Bergman)。
台灣導演林靖傑的新片《最遙遠的距離》在與電影節同時舉行的“國際影評人周”上獲獎。
