What is it about?
John Woo's first Chinese language film after more than a decade. Based on historical events in the Three Kingdoms period (220-280AD). The budget is projected at US$50M. Some of the sets are being built in China. One of the leading actors, Tony Leung Chiu-wai had pulled out and been replaced by Takeshi kaneshiro before shooting started.
